Andy Holroyd said...: I think chiropractic is very dubious. Take the recent case of journalist Simon Singh vs British Chiropractic Association. Singh criticised the BCA in an article saying:

"The British Chiropractic Association claims that their members can help treat children with colic, sleeping and feeding problems, frequent ear infections, asthma and prolonged crying, even though there is not a jot of evidence. This organisation is the respectable face of the chiropractic profession and yet it happily promotes bogus treatments."

What did the BCA do? Produce tons of evidence that the treatments work? Sadly no, because there isn't any, so they squealed "libel" and took Singh to court. Then amazingly, they tried to cover up their questionable claims. Can you imagine a real medical organisation behaving like that?; 24 July 2009 at 15:04
