In 2003 Ramachandran gave the BBC Reith Lecture and he goes into much more detail. Fascinating!

Interesting stuff.
Whilst at a Lancaster Uni Psychology Open day recently, with Lovely Daughter, we had a 'sample' year 1 lecture about facial recognition. It was pretty interesting, but would have been better with this bloke doing it.
He has a great presentation style, but the foundations of his work are real and scientific. This is what we need to move humanity sluggishly forward; understanding and the ability to communicate it.
