I don't think I've posted this before, and I'm quite surprised because I love this guy's enthusiasm. V. S. Ramachandran speaks at TED about the connections within the brain and how they affect the mind.

In 2003 Ramachandran gave the BBC Reith Lecture and he goes into much more detail. Fascinating!

Interesting stuff.

Whilst at a Lancaster Uni Psychology Open day recently, with Lovely Daughter, we had a 'sample' year 1 lecture about facial recognition. It was pretty interesting, but would have been better with this bloke doing it.

He has a great presentation style, but the foundations of his work are real and scientific. This is what we need to move humanity sluggishly forward; understanding and the ability to communicate it.
