Till death us do part

Though a little non-PC today, Warren Mitchell's character as Alf Garnett in Till death us do part is still great comedy.

Alf Garnett was possibly the greatest TV character ever invented.

It's a pity Warren Mitchell's portrayal and Johnny Speight's scripting of him were so misunderstood. The British viewing public just weren't ready for that sort of underhand satire.

Dandy Nichols as Elsie (silly moo) was bloody funny as well.
