In celebration of the upcoming festivities on St Valentine's day, Just Jill at Elemental my dear has asked, nay challenged, her readers to post their own descriptions of that deep emotion so close to all our hearts, love.
To me, it's much more than flowers, chocolates and romance...
Love is - fetching a pillow to rest her head as she lies on a rug in the warmth of a blazing fire.
True love is - also bringing a bowl for her to throw up into.

I had to chuckle at your second one, although very true!! I remember I did such a thing when hubby was in the hospital one time. Thanks for taking the challenge! :-)
'Twas the aftermath of an unexpectedly strong, home-made peach wine. Me and the ex had made ~25 litres so I tapped a litre to try before we bottled it. It was just a bit too wonderful.
Love can be bittersweet, but that rocks!

Hilarious. I read the first line and was oohing and aahing about how sweet and tender.. then saw the line about throwing up! Still, a very loving gesture.
Sassy Pants - hello and welcome.
It's the bittersweet which has inspired a million poems and love songs.
Laura - and in the morning you cuddle up and say "Aw, poor love got a headache?" whilst sporting a huge... big... grin.
Excellent! Best to both of you.
If only Dave, we split up years ago.
Sorry Andy, misread again. It's the damn new glasses?
