When I was a youngster my parents bought me a pair of braces to hold up my new trousers. Of course these were 'Trousers to grow into' and without such support I would have been running around bare arsed. The braces were blue and had pictures of planets and rockets and, in the box, was a genuine ticket to the Moon.
I know, because it said so.

A thought for a Sunday
"People are like stained-glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in their true beauty is revealed only if there is light from within".
My approach to patients was heavily influenced by her book "On death and dying" which she wrote in 1969 and I read in 1973/4 as a baby medical student. She wrote so readably on such a hard subject; gifted and wise.

I've never read "death and dying" but I'm well aware of her "five stages model". It's a great insight into the troublesome areas of life.
