When I was a youngster my parents bought me a pair of braces to hold up my new trousers. Of course these were 'Trousers to grow into' and without such support I would have been running around bare arsed. The braces were blue and had pictures of planets and rockets and, in the box, was a genuine ticket to the Moon.
I know, because it said so.

A thought for a Sunday
"If a man would follow, today, the teachings of the Old Testament, he would be a criminal. If he would follow strictly the teachings of the New, he would be insane".
Morning! Interesting quote, I'd never thought along those lines but think I'll need to pick up the Bible and peruse a little. I do suspect if there is a Jesus and he did come back, he's probably in a state mental hospital somewhere.
Hi Laura, the Bible has some wonderful passages (Proverbs, the Sermon on the Mount in Mathew) but also much which is ridiculous (most of Leviticus), of needless violence (Numbers 31:14-18) or is far from good moral guidance (the story of Lot in Genesis). Revelation reads more like something from a Timothy Leary than a saintly visionary.
If the writing of this document was directed by a divine being, all I can say is Small Gods!
